Pakistan is currently in the midst of its 12th general election, which is scheduled for February 8, 2024. This election will see voters electing members to the National Assembly and the provincial assemblies of all four provinces. The election is being held amidst a number of challenges, including:



• Political fluidity:- The previous government, led by Imran Khan, was dissolved in April 2022 after a no-confidence vote. Since then, the country has been under a caretaker government.


• Economic challenges:- Pakistan is facing a number of economic challenges, including high inflation and unemployment.



• Security concerns:- Pakistan has a long history of political violence, and there are concerns that the election could be marred by violence.
